WASHINGTON, DC - Tomorrow, January 27th U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu will travel to Memphis, Tenn. to visit Sharp Solar Manufacturing Plant and FedEx Memphis Superhub. The visit comes two days after President Obama outlined in his State of the Union speech his vision for a new clean energy economy.
At Sharp Solar, Secretary Chu will review the company's innovative solar manufacturing techniques that provide clean energy power and job creation for Memphis residents. While at FedEx, Secretary Chu will tour the Superhub and participate in an electric vehicle demonstration.
